Coal washing special polyacrylamide is an anionic high-molecular polymer belonging to the polyacrylamide family, also known as coal washing agent. It appears as white granules. Its solid content is no less than 88%, molecular weight ranges from 6 million to 18 million, residual monomer content is no more than 0.05%, and hydrolysis degree is 22.5%-27.5%. With optimized internal chemical composition, it rapidly accelerates solid-liquid separation of coal slime water within about 5 seconds during coal washing, delivering several times higher cleaning efficiency than conventional products.
1. Working Principle
Polyacrylamide is a linear high-molecular polymer with non-toxicity and non-corrosiveness, and it is easily soluble in water. After its aqueous solution mixes with coal slime water, active groups on the molecular chains adsorb fine particles in the water and bond particles together to form large flocs, greatly speeding up coal slime sedimentation. Proper dosing method is crucial to achieve optimal flocculation performance.
2. Application Properties
- Flocculation: It flocculates suspended substances via electric neutralization and bridging adsorption effects.
- Adhesion: It exerts adhesive effects through mechanical, physical and chemical interactions.
- Drag Reduction: It effectively cuts fluid friction resistance; a tiny dosage can reduce resistance by 50%-80%.
- Thickening: It features thickening capacity under neutral and acidic conditions. Hydrolysis easily occurs when pH value exceeds 10, and thickening effect becomes more prominent with semi-network structure formation.
3. Product Advantages
- Rapid formation of large, compact flocs with minimal sludge output and fast sedimentation speed.
- Fast and thorough dissolution without insoluble lumps; powdery products dissolve completely in around 60 minutes.
- Cost-effective with low dosage and superior performance, featuring high dehydration rate and low operating cost.
- Excellent filtering and dewatering capacity enhances sludge dehydration effect.
- Compatible with automatic feeding system for easy operation.
4. Precautions
- Dissolving Water Quality: Neutral low-hardness water is recommended. Water rich in inorganic substances and metal ions such as groundwater, river water and recycled water will impair product performance.
- Dissolving Time: Stir powdery products for at least 1 hour to reach maximum efficacy and reduce consumption; non-ionic products require stirring for over 2 hours.
- Dissolving Concentration: Cationic flocculant: standard concentration 2‰, applicable range 1‰-3‰. Anionic and non-ionic flocculant: standard concentration 1‰, applicable range 0.5‰-1.5‰.
5. Storage Method The product is packed in 25kg plastic-lined woven bags or paper-plastic composite bags, and customized packaging is available. Keep away from heat and moisture during storage and transportation, and avoid package damage. Exposed dry powder tends to absorb moisture and agglomerate. Stack height shall not exceed 20 layers. The shelf life is 2 years.
